Using older versions of AppLovin MAX with the Moloco SDK may cause build issues. These issues were resolved starting with Moloco SDK 3.0.0. To avoid problems, use AppLovin MAX 13.0.0 or later along with the recommended Moloco SDK versions.

Why are Moloco native ads playing with audio turned on by default?

This was a known issue that has been fixed in Moloco SDK 3.1.0 or later. Please update to the latest version of the SDK to resolve it.

How can I prevent my own ads from appearing in my app?

If you are running user acquisition (UA) campaigns on Moloco, our bidder automatically prevents your ads from being shown in your same app.
If you want to block your ads from showing in other apps you own and operate, please contact the SDK Support team for assistance.

Which Moloco SDK versions are compatible with AppLovin MAX 13.0.0?

For compatibility with AppLovin MAX 13.0.0, you need at least:

  • Moloco iOS SDK: 3.1.3.1

  • Moloco Android SDK: 3.1.0.1

As a best practice, we recommend always updating to the latest Moloco SDK version for stability and performance.

Is Moloco still supporting custom adapters, or has this been deprecated?

Moloco has deprecated custom adapters. The current integration approach uses in-app header bidding only, and relevant bidding adapters are available in Moloco’s official integration documentation for each mediation platform.

How do I migrate from legacy custom waterfall setups to in-app header bidding? Are there special steps?

Yes, if you're transitioning from legacy custom waterfall (using older Moloco adapters) to in-app header bidding, you should use Moloco’s migration guidance. Moloco previously provided a custom adapter for waterfall setup, but that is now deprecated. Moloco strongly recommends using bidding-based integration instead. If you still face build issues with older setups, reach out to your Moloco representative for support.

No additional configuration is needed. ProGuard and R8 rules for Moloco are already included in the Moloco adapter. Please do not modify any Moloco-specific rules, as this may result in integration issues

SKAdNetwork IDs for Moloco are handled automatically on the server side. You do not need to manually add SKAdNetwork entries for Moloco.
